Week Twenty-Two

So… you found Luna! We were both so happy to know that our cat is still alive. We can’t believe she didn’t even leave our apartment complex. Thankfully, one of our neighbors has been feeding her. She isn’t back at home just yet. You tried to bring her back but she got scared before you could bring her inside. In the event that we can’t get her to come in we’ll at least know that she is okay. We may look into having our neighbor adopt her if she is already used to him and would just freak out here. Either way, I’m just so thankful that I know she’s alive and safe. I really hated not knowing.

You did something for me that was pretty sweet the other day: I was sitting on the couch doing my schoolwork. I started saying (er… complaining?) how much we need a desk because trying to balance the laptop, my book, notebook, etc. around me on the couch was not working. Without saying anything you walked over and pulled the coffee table to where I was sitting and then made a space on it for me to put my book down. Then you walked back to continue whatever you were doing. It made me tear up. (I don’t know why but sweet things have been really getting to me lately.) It was sweet because it wasn’t something that I asked you to do. It probably wouldn’t be something huge to anyone else. But it was a big deal to me. This doesn’t mean that you don’t do little things all the time for me; this one just stuck out in my head for this week.

I am thankful for you every day. I laugh about something ridiculous we say in our random conversations every day. I’m still excited every day that you’re my husband and I’m your wife. It is the dorkiest, most awesome feeling ever.

Things to remember from this week: It’s the little things.
